It's extra money 'cause we say so

I keep seeing this ad, you've probably seen it too, the ad from Centrum, (the multivitamin people) claiming that (in my own words) "all of these ingredients {a guy standing in back of a dumptruck unloading stuff} won't match up to the science of Centrum". And then he goes along to explain that this vitamin goes with this one and this mineral goes with this hokey pokey and then you turn yourself around and voila you have health and vitality...

Who in hell would believe this shite? OK, I see 2 bottles of multivitamins, one has EXACTLY the same f@#$ing ingredients as the other, to the f@#$ing MILLIGRAM, but costs 6-8 dollars less. Am I to believe that the lesser priced bottle which also has about 80 more tablets (ok I may be exagerating) is not as valid even though it's EXACTLY THE SAME, because of the "Science of Centrum"? Who would swallow this absolute tripe? And is it just me or does this smack of falsity?

I think my 1st grade teacher would have something to say about your mathematics, Centrum. 1 + 1 = 2, but of course you would need a particular brand of science to prove the validity of that right?

Hey, I was watching the news and they said "The Canadian gov't toppled..."

I mean, I have to take it with a grain of salt, considering the highly sensational American media - but are you guys up there foraging for berries and living in communes or what? Hey, the weather down my way is great, so if you feel like a move just let me know and we'll clean the cobwebs out of the spare bedroom for ya'll.

Toppled? Yeah, no. It just means that once again as predicted the minority government was given a non-confidence vote by the other parties, and since they barely have enough seats to maintain government we are up for another election in January. The funniest thing I've seen today is an article on CBC that talks about the current polls, it's still neck and neck, with the Liberals ahead by a foot. I can almost guarantee that the next election will not solve anything. WE'RE almost as divided these days as YOU guys are.

Thanks for the offer, it's -11 Celsius here today so I had to put on mitts etc to go outside. I can bet it's a shade warmer where you are.

Well, see, the less expensive bottle is prepared in a factory where workers aren't actively encouraged to wash their hands after using the toilet. The lower priced employees have, in addition to the poor hygeine, loose morals. It's a subtle difference.
